Having only lost a few from the 2021 A grade team, the Bears are welcoming some new faces, Marissa Thomas, Chloe Lawless and Tahnee Pearce into the team this year.
The junior netball sides are also seeing great numbers at trainings and can’t wait to get back to playing with their friends and they too look like they will be hard to beat this season.
On the sidelines the Bears also have an exciting line up of coaches with most returning and a few new faces stepping into the roles.
The 2022 senior coaches are A grade - Jayanna Sharp, B grade - Claire Dawson and Maddie Hocking, C grade - Jenny Buerckner and C Res - Sally Eales.
Junior coaches are Under 17s- Jorja Goldman and Grace Whitelock, Under 15s Penny Thompson and Ally Cooper, Under 13s Jenny Buerckner, Under 11s Mellissa Cummins and for another year the club is really excited to have an Under 9s side, learning all things netball and have had Danielle Sidebottom step into this mentor/coaching role.
“We have had a few intraclub matches along with practices matches with Mulwala and we were really keen with what we are seeing from these matches,” Bridget Saunders said.
“It’s looking like the Bear pit netballers will be competitive and strong across all grades.
