The final round will be next Saturday, April 13, and it will be followed in the evening by a celebration for members and guests, with meals available.
It will be a big couple of weeks on the golf course.
Also, next weekend, on Sunday, April 14, the club will host the GOH Celebrating 50 Years charity day, with proceeds going to the golf club.
This is a four-person ambrose, $30 per player.
The following day, Monday, April 15, Deniliquin will host veteran golfers from throughout the Goulburn Valley for the GV Vets event.
On Thursday last week there was a stableford event, won in A-grade by Shandra Simpson with 37 points from runner-up Leigh Chappell, 35, and in B-grade the winner was Marg Menadue with 34 points from runner-up Fay Harrington, 33.
On Saturday, there was again a big field for the stableford event, with four grades.
A-grade winner was John Radeski with 38 points on countback to runner-up Thomas Bult; B-grade winner Hugh Sutton 38 on countback to runner-up Kerran Leetham; C-grade Peter Thompson 38 from runner-up Bob Landy 36, and C-grade winner with the best score of the day was Luke Rowland with 43 points from runner-up Marg Radeski 35.
In Wednesday’s stableford event, the A-grade winner was in-form Thomas Bult with 36 points from runner-up Geoff Bracken 35, and B-grade winner was Alan Lord with 38 points from runner-up Anthony Erickson 37.
Coming up we have the aforementioned events, plus a 12-hole 3-person ambrose on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday and the ladies will play stableford and compete for the Rita Barnes Goblet on Thursday.
