This year the guest speaker will be former local resident Erin Purtle.
Erin was born in Yarrawonga and raised in Mulwala before she left town when she was 17 on a journey that has now taken 28 years to come full circle.
In 1995 she was elected to represent Yarrawonga Rotary on a youth exchange program to Bremen, Germany. Due to this experience it gave her the self-esteem and knowledge to travel the world, now 28 years later she has decided to return to her home town with her family.
From 1996- 2000 Erin studied at RMIT Melbourne to become a Dr in Chiropractic before moving to the UK in 2002 and staying for two years working for a large health company, Back to Health.
From 2005-2022 Erin lived and worked in Barcelona, Spain.
During this time in Spain she owned and sold several chiropractic businesses, started the Chiropractic Foundation, which was the beginning of the first chiropractic university course in Spain.
She was an active and board member of the Chiropractic Association and worked hard to get chiropractic recognised as a medical profession in Spain.
Erin also owned and designed an online mattress business and is now working on a project to bring the fastest growing sport in the world to Australia – Padel (game adapted from tennis).

Tungamah will once again hold their Australia Day celebrations from 8am on January 26, with a traditional Lions club breakfast, alongside some entertainment.
Presentations will follow the breakfast, and there is no doubt that there will be keen interest in the morning, with two nominees for citizen of the year, covering Tungamah and St James.
There will then be the organisation of the year, plus the event of the year.
Please bring your own seating as it will be all outdoors. Covid Marshalls will view vaccination certificates.
There will be limited seating available.
Only fully vaccinated people will be admitted.
Other town celebrations
An array of Australia Day celebrations will be held on Wednesday, January 26 to recognise Australia Day across the Moira Shire area and Federation Council.
Federation Council – 9am; Bangerang Park, Corowa.
Tungamah/St James – 8am; Lions Park – Boyd Street, Tungamah.
The Moira Shire Australia Day Awards night will be postponed in precaution due to the current covid-19 wave.
