Bella was part of the ensemble in the cast of Disney’s hit musical Beauty and the Beast at Melbourne’s Her Majesty’s Theatre last Friday.
Watched on by family members just six rows back from the stage the musical was described by Bella’s father Brian as “fantastic”.
“Being a Disney production, they spared no expense,” Brian said.
“Bella was nervous, but she did a great job, and she was on stage for a lot of parts.
“The whole cast was simply amazing.”
Bella, now 22, relocated to Melbourne to pursue her studies at Patrick School of the Arts, where she became a skilled dancer, singer, and acrobat/aerialist.
She completed the Academy, Elite, Performing Arts, and Musical Theatre programs under the guidance of Todd Patrick, Amanda Stone, and Andrew Hallsworth.
Trained in all styles of dance and vocally coached by Sally Bourne, Bella’s performance credits include dancing at the 2022 AFL Grand Final with Robbie Williams in front of 100,000 people, working with Yvette Lee on Rock of Ages, and performing alongside illusionist Cosentino for Channel 7.
Bella recently returned from an international contract as a singer/dancer with Norwegian Cruise Lines and credits her cousin Amy Ednie for her introduction to and development in musical entertainment.
It was perfect timing for the Runnalls clan who also watched another family member perform on the big stage during the week, this time on the football field.
Airlie Runnalls, who plays for Fremantle in the AFLW played against Geelong on Tuesday evening at GHHBA stadium with the family watching on.
Airlie, 26, is playing in her fourth season (38 games) in the AFLW after being picked up by Fremantle in 2022 from North Melbourne’s VFL side.
