A BRCC spokesperson said the temporary service disruption is part of its ongoing commitment to improving service delivery and ensuring the best outcomes for residents and customers.
“From November 26, to December 6, council’s planning unit will be unavailable as we prepare to go live with the new Greenlight planning portal on December 2,” the spokesperson said.
“During this period, our team will be undertaking essential training and testing to ensure a smooth transition.
“We kindly ask that all enquiries be directed to our Customer Relations team on 5760 2600.
“Please note that counter enquiries will also need to be triaged during this time, and no appointments will be available.
“We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our services.
“By implementing Greenlight, we aim to provide a more efficient and user-friendly experience for all planning and development matters.”
This initiative is part of the Collaborative Digital Transformation Partnership, which focuses on improving ICT governance and service delivery across Benalla Rural City, Mansfield Shire, Murrindindi Shire, and Strathbogie Shire.
The program includes aligning service systems, and processes and system integration.
“We are committed to keeping our community informed and minimising any impact on staff and customers during this transition,” the spokesperson said.
“Thank you for your cooperation and support as we continue to enhance the services we provide to the Benalla Rural City community.”
