Extra effort is being made to build the Deni Ute Muster excitement in 2024.

To complement the world famous event - which will be held Friday, October 4 and Saturday, October 5 - the Muster team, Edward River Council and the Deniliquin Business Chamber have teamed up to organise a week-long celebration.
It includes competitions, displays, shopping promotions, giveaways and more.
Chamber is running a ‘Muster Fever’ event, which encourages businesses to showcase a Ute Muster themed display competition and offer Muster specials and promotions.
A prize for the best display will be awarded, with two adult passes to the Muster up for grabs.
The winner will be announced at Spirit of the Muster Ute Display in the Deniliquin Waring Gardens on October 4.
It will run from 1pm to 4pm on the Cressy St side of the park, near the Edwardes St corner.
Edward River Council is arranging a display of six utes, which will include the new Deni Ute Muster ute.
The winners of council’s shopping competitions will also be announced at this event.
A $300 Muster merchandise prize pack is on offer, and all you have to do is spend $50 at any local business and scan the QR code on the poster in store.
With just two weeks until the famous Ute Muster kicks off, Muster general manager Vicky Lowry said ticket sales have been quite strong.
It’s been prompted by the musical line-up and a huge array of other entertainment for the .
Mrs Lowry is anticipating a “big year”, with predictions there will be 20,000 people on site each day of the festival.
“Excitement is beginning to build, and our festival site is at capacity with entertainment for all ages,” Mrs Lowry said.
“From our first artist announcement, the public has been very positive about our line-up.
“This has shown in our ticket sales.”
Musical acts performing at this year’s include Australian pop queen Amy Shark, who is sure to bring in droves of fans.
Other main stage acts to look forward to are international country stars Kip Moore and Tyler Hubbard, as well as Australian music icon, John Williamson.
The driving competitions are always a massive drawcard.

Rounding out the main stage acts will be Amber Lawrence, Brad Cox, Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley, Darlinghurst, Elestial, Fanny Lumsden and Sunny Cowgirls.
But you won’t have to wait for the sun to start setting to enjoy some quality music, with live performances on the day stage throughout both days.
Highlights of the action-packed attractions and around the grounds entertainment include the Paul Bennett Air Shows, Brophy’s Circus, Carnival Corner, Ejay’s Junk Yard Action Show, Hot Head Puppets, Sandman, a silent disco and Ikea Wars.
Each Bullride Spectacular event draws a huge crowd.
Plus there’s the regular competitions like the bull ride, driving competitions, whip cracking, wood chopping, tradie challenge and the show and shine.
And that’s only some of the activities on offer.
Add to that the trade sites, food court, bars and the chance to meet people from all over Australia and the world, and you’ve got yourself a cracking weekend.
Make sure to don your blue singlet on the Saturday - or buy one once you get on site - and be part of the World Record Blue Singlet Count attempt on the Saturday.
The number to beat is 4,367, which was the record set last year. It was more than 200 better than the previous record of 4,136 in 2019.
It is hoped this year will be the year the World Record Ute Count is also bested. It stands at 9,736, with 7,949 utes the official number from last year.
Muster tickets are still available, with general camping included in the ticket price.
