Then it’s time to join the Birdie Squad, the Yarrawonga Mulwala Golf Club Resort’s exciting new golf program for juniors aged 7-12.
Marketing Manager Rob Alexander said the 21-week program is tailored to kids of all skill levels.
“Whether you’ve never picked up a golf club before or you’re already a mini pro, Birdie Squad is the perfect place to start your golfing journey,” Rob said.
“The program will be led by PGA Professional Sandy Jamieson and our friendly Club Support Volunteers, kids will learn all about the game, safety, and how to take care of the course.
“We’ll focus on different golfing skills each week, including putting, short game and driving.
"Plus, our fun, coloured wristband system will help kids track their own progress as they learn and improve,” Rob said.
Thanks to the support of sponsor Rich Glen, the program costs just $70. All participants receive their own Birdie Squad Membership card, bucket hat, drink bottle, plus a Rich Glen goodie bag and discount voucher.
Held each Wednesday from 4pm, the program will be split into 7-9 and 10-12-year age groups.
Birdie Squad registrations are filling quickly. The first session is on Wednesday, October 9, at 4pm for 7–9-year-olds and 5pm for 10-12-year-olds.
The season runs for 21 weeks, with a five-week break for Christmas. The final session will be on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
