Members of the Lakeside Voices feel strongly about supporting the ongoing development of hospital facilities which will benefit the entire community.
Yarrawonga Mulwala’s popular choir Lakeside Voices is the latest community group to generously support Yarrawonga Health’s Community Heart fundraising campaign.

Lakeside Voices, the secular arm of the Yarrawonga Mulwala Ecumenical Choir (YMEC), has been a part of the local community for over 30 years, bringing both religious and joyful music to residents.
Whether performing at local aged care facilities or participating in Christmas and Easter church services, Lakeside Voices members continue to share their passion for music with the community.
In the past, the group has also successfully united choirs from across the district and Melbourne for the Festival of 1000 Voices, creating a memorable event that showcased local talent.
With Conductor and Coordinator Andrew Brown at the helm, the choir operates as a group of volunteers who enjoy coming together, singing challenging pieces, supporting each other, and—most importantly—having fun.
Recently, Lakeside Voices demonstrated their community spirit by donating to Yarrawonga Health’s new Surgical Theatre project.
Secretary of Lakeside Voices Charlotte Brown said while the choir’s funds are limited, members feel strongly about supporting the ongoing development of hospital facilities, which will benefit the entire community.
“ The donation, though small, is a heartfelt contribution toward a project that will enhance local healthcare both now and, in the future,” Ms Brown said.
Yarrawonga Health and Helping Hands are engaging in an ambitious year-long fundraising project to enhance care and patient facilities for the community.
The Community Heart Appeal aims to support, the purchase of essential equipment and furnishings for the new theatre and main entrance to complement the ongoing capital redevelopment project.
Community members are also encouraged to donate funds from various activities to the Community Heart Appeal.
Yarrawonga Health’s Community Engagement Manager Jo Spence said the wish list includes items such as an operating table, an anaesthetic machine, recovery beds, recliner chairs, a portable ventilator, an additional defibrillator, a blanket warmer, hospital-grade furnishing and even landscaping.
“Businesses, organisations or even families can choose to donate towards buying one item,” Ms Spence said.
“Organisations may even choose to register their event with us, with the intention to donate funds towards the appeal,” Ms Spence explained.
