Nineteen Moira Shire residents have been appointed members of a newly established Community Panel which will play a vital role in shaping the future of the Moira Shire.
Geoff Campbell, Julie-Anne Clarke, Jessica Dowling Bonaddio, Charlene Donovan, Heather Du Vallon, Kim Fitzgerald, Rebecca Hore, Roland Huber, Susan Logie, Nicole McPherson, Robert Morey, Julia Norris, Sandra Pennington, Jacque Phillips, James Rouel, Mark Russell, Amelia Slater, Ellie Stephens and John Tyrrell will contribute to shaping the shire’s long-term strategic vision, identifying priorities, and addressing opportunities for growth and development across the region.
The Panel will be instrumental in developing a 20-year vision for the municipality and will assist council in developing its four-year strategic plan, ensuring the diverse voices of the region are heard and represented.
The appointment of members to the panel reflects a broad range of perspectives and includes residents from across the region who were selected based on their expertise, experience, and ability to provide informed advice.
Moira Shire Council Chair Administrator Dr Graeme Emonson PSM described the panel as an essential forum for community consultation, transparency, and engagement.
“This group of residents will provide valuable insights and guidance to the council as we set the blueprint for the future. It is critical that we capture the aspirations and needs of the entire community in the 2045 Community Vision,” Dr Emonson said.
“We extend our gratitude to all who applied and look forward to working closely with the appointed panel to build a vibrant and inclusive Moira Shire.”
The establishment of the Community Panel highlights council’s commitment to fostering inclusive decision-making, good governance, and meaningful engagement.
