The cherished Tree of Giving, a heartwarming Deniliquin Local Health Advisory Committee tradition, has once again graced the entrance of Deniliquin Hospital this Christmas season.
Gifts collected by LHAC under the tree are distributed to local families through Homes Out West.
The tree can be found in the Deniliquin Hospital foyer, which also brings a bit of joy to anyone there for medical treatment at the same time.
This year's centrepiece is a genuine, full-sized, living Christmas pine, generously gifted by the Shevels family - Matt and Chantelle, and their sons.
“People are able to donate gifts for children and adults alike, we just ask they remain unwrapped,” Deni LHAC chair Lourene Liebenberg said.
“We have been doing this for five years now, the community is just so generous and that is so great to see.”
Donations will be accepted until Monday, December 23.
Gifts can be left unwrapped under the tree, or items of significant value and gift cards for adult recipients can be left with hospital reception.
