The Echuca Moama Community Projects team is once again running its Christmas toy appeal.

The appeal aims to help families who are doing it tough by taking one less cost off families’ hands during the festive season.
Last year, around 276 children received toys through the appeal.
Echuca Moama Community Projects co-ordinator Julie Langdon said the appeal was well supported every year.
“The response every year is overwhelming and everyone is so generous,” she said.
“Every year it seems to be harder on people and every year we seem to get busier.”
Community members can donate a range of toys for all ages.

The organisation asks community members to consider buying an additional toy to donate when shopping for their own children.
There are drop-off points located throughout Echuca where people can leave donations.
Volunteers will then collect the toys.
Mrs Langdon said families who needed the helping hand would then be invited to the Echuca Moama Hall to pick out toys.
“We will invite people with a genuine need to come down and pick some toys for their kids,” she said.
“We get a lot of tears and a few stories of hardship. We know it’s tough out there with the cost of living, rental prices and there’s a heap of stuff going on.”
Toys will be distributed on Thursday, December 12, Monday, December 16 and Thursday, December 19 from 10am to 1pm.
Donations can be dropped off to the Riverine Herald, Echuca Moama Uniting Church, Echuca War Memorial Aquatic Centre, Bendigo Bank Echuca, Moama Village and Meninya St pharmacies, Echuca Library, Echuca Regional Health and the Twin Rivers Specialist School.
Donations will be collected until Thursday, December 19.
