The next big event in Jerilderie will be the Good Friday Golf Day to raise money for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.

The Jerilderie Fun Fair on Saturday afternoon/evening was very popular and drew a large crowd on a day with a promise of autumn.
There were lots of interesting stalls, activities for the young at heart, and ferret races were part of the attractions. The event wound up with an outdoor movie night under the stars.

Jerilderie’s World Day of Prayer service held at St Andrew’s Uniting Church was well attended by representatives of all local denominations. The prepared service and address by Rev Gemma Le Mesurier, offered much food for thought.
Conversation was shared over a lovely morning tea in the church hall after the service.

Jerilderie CWA branch.is keeping busy hosting information days for the local community.
Members are pleased to announce the Cancer Council will be visiting Jerilderie on Tuesday, March 19.
There will be an information morning in the Bolton Street CWA rooms from 10am to noon on that day.
Information on assistance available following a cancer diagnosis will be available.
The whole community is invited to this important event to find out where to get help if the unimaginable should occur.

Jerilderie CWA is also hosting a CPR training day on Thursday, March 21, from10am, at the CWA meeting rooms in Bolton Street.
Training will be facilitated by NSW Ambulance crews from Jerilderie with back-up from members.
Interested community members will be warmly welcomed at this event where you will learn how to recognise the need for CPR, how to administer CPR, and how to use a defibrillator.

On a lighter note, a belated happy 19th birthday to Bill Williams who is one of those lucky people who was born on February 29.
He does look a wee bit older than 19!

A birthday which went under the radar is that of Jerilderie Lions Club member Pat Dobbin, who marked his 70th birthday on March 2.
Lion Paul Ryan also has a birthday tomorrow, March 7.
Best wishes to Pat and Paul.
And an especially big birthday wish to Lynn James who has a special round figure birthday on March 9, and started celebrations early with friends, before a family get together on the day.

A reminder of the Chicks in the Sticks luncheon at the Jerilderie Civic Hall on March 17, from 11.30am to 2.30pm.
This will include guest speakers and the chance for connection, and conversation over lunch.
