Rutherglen watermain duplication
North East Water is duplicating a section of Rutherglen's trunk watermain to improve water supply to the town.
The duplication involves installing 790 metres of water pipeline from the Rutherglen clear water storage tank to Ready Street.
The duplication will run mainly along the eastern side of Sheridans Bridge Road, then cross the intersection at High and Ready streets.
Works are expected to be underway between October and December 2024.
