Hopeful Easter completion for Splash Park

The large hole in the ground is for the construction of the new in-ground concrete balance tank which is a very complex process, and works will continue on the tank this week.

Once the balance tank is completed, the plant room and all of the equipment to operate the splash park will be installed.

“The current aim is to complete the splash park by Easter, and we are doing the best that we can to make this happen,” a council spokesperson said.

“All of the landscaping works including the installation of shelters and seating is likely to happen over Winter and Spring in preparation for next Summer.”
