Jason will be singing many of John Denver's most loved songs from Jason’s fourth album, ‘Jason Owen sings John Denver: the 20th Anniversary album.’
When the album was released in 2017 to mark 20 years since Denver's passing, it became an instant smash hit, going straight to number one on the Australian Country Music Charts.
Jason has also released his version of one of John Denver's greatest singles, Thank God I'm a Country Boy. The song, originally released in 1974 went to number one worldwide and is still considered one of the greatest country songs of all time.
"I've put my own touch on each song but kept true to the uniqueness of John's creativity," Jason said.
"The show features John's biggest hits, and I encourage everyone to sing along and have a great night.
“After growing up listening to John's music, it is a dream and privilege to be out playing it on tour, and I hope everyone enjoys it."
Joining Jason on his national tour is Shara Rose.
Shara is a breath of fresh air as a performer, blending her warm, engaging vocals with lyrics that tell stories straight from the heart, inspiring people to have hope.
Her contemporary guitar-driven style mixes Indie, pop, and country.
No stranger to the stage, Shara Rose regularly performs throughout Australia and won over the crowds opening for the iconic UK hit songwriter Kikki Dee (performer of 'I've got the Music in Me' and 'Don't Go Breaking my Heart') on her Australian tour.
She has been the support act over the last twelve months on the Jason Owen sings Denver tour and will also be supporting Jason Owen and Australia's most well-known female country music artist, Tania Kernaghan, on their tour in May – June this year.
