Beau Clarke on the lead through centre half forward was a sight to behold in the bright sunshine, with the Mulwala champion in superb touch.
Mulwala finished the quarter with two quick goals to head into the first change with a deserving 13-point lead.
Through the second and third quarters the game followed a frustrating rhythm as Mulwala looked a class above but failed to break the shackles.
The half back line continually won the ball back as Cameron Carling threw his body into every contest.
Dylan Flanagan was a Goliath such was his strength and power in the contest.

Mulwala with all the answers went to three quarter time with a commanding 4 goal lead.
Early in the last quarter, Sean Johns, who had been his usual dynamic self, had the chance to kick Mulwala well clear but his errant kick would unfortunately lead to a collapse that would leave fans from both teams feeling empty as the final siren sounded.
Finley found their legs and began to dominate over the whole ground as Mulwala’s backs were suddenly under siege. Entry after entry lead to goals as Finely found themselves in front in the dying minutes.
Glenn Dominick was heroic at times and a goal saving mark to Cam Magher was also inspirational as Mulwala tried to hang on.
The endeavour and courage could not be questioned as Jackson Gash and Eli Boyer laid tackle after tackle. In the final two minutes, the ball found its way to Tom Dow who had the chance to win the game. His superb skills were not enough on this occasion as the goal went begging. The point however, was enough to deny Finely the win and secure Mulwala a draw.

Flynn Fletcher’s introduction had an immediate impact as he found Cam Nye for Mulwala’s first goal.
Trailing by 10 points at the first change Mulwala were back in the game during the second quarter as Leigh Howroyd started to find plenty of the pill and Josh Bozola became dangerous up forward. Bozza has been in great form in recent weeks and was once again one of Mulwala’s best.
A brilliant solo effort from Flynn Fletcher who roved the ball, turned inside out and kicked truly from the boundary line had Mulwala back in the game but once again missed chances halted Mulwala’s momentum.
Dylan Leadingham and Wade Dennis started the third term full of run and were instrumental in holding up Finley as they started to get on top.
Nathan Beasley and Jake Savy had their hands full in the back line but saved numerous goals through sheer desire. Lach Orr also saved a certain goal when he flew back with the flight of the ball to punch the ball to the boundary.
Unfortunately for Mulwala, every effort to get back in front was countered by Finley whose ruck dominance became telling.
Leigh Howroyd’s long bomb from fifty just before three quarter time gave Mulwala a heap of confidence heading into the last term.
