Good news has been received from Berrigan Shire Council that the Finley War Memorial Swimming Pool will not close, regardless of what happens with the committee.
However, there still needs to be someone to run it.
The group would still appreciate anyone interested in the management of this important facility to attend the rescheduled AGM to be held on Wednesday, May 29 at the Finley RS Club at 7pm.
There is only one meeting per month for about one hour, so it does not take up too much time.
Further information can be obtained by going to the Finley Swimming Pool Facebook page.

Members of the Finley Lions Club are happy to be back selling tickets for the wood raffle on Saturday mornings. Bernadette Gray is the latest lucky winner.
This group is continually taking on projects for the betterment of our community and none more so than the construction of the new columbarium at the Finley Cemetery.
Under the guidance of Gavin Butcher and with the assistance of many others, this has now been completed and is a respectful addition to the facilities.

Finley can be very proud of many of the younger members of our community as students from St Joseph’s School, Lachlan Urquhart and Noah Brindley, are also achieving goals.
They will be heading off to Lavington for the Public Schools Sports Association Australia Football League Carnival which is starting today and running until Friday.
Over the first two days, Lachie and Noah will play twice and then three times on the final day.
Both boys are excited about participating and putting their skills to the test. If they are part of the winning team, they will play state where they will represent NSW primary schools.
“The whole St Joseph’s Finley community is very proud of Lachie and Noah’s efforts. They take their sporting development very seriously and have worked hard to move through the various trials,” principal Veronica Braybon said.
The students, staff and families of St Joseph’s Finley wish them both well this week and look forward to hearing of their success.
