Tungamah Primary School (TPS) is full of friendly and inclusive students and staff who share a strong relationship alongside the schools’ families whilst also having strong connections to the Tungamah community and surrounds.
All staff care for and look after all students with the principal also teaching so she knows the students as children and learners.
A dedicated mental health and wellbeing teacher and a tutor are also on hand to support students catching up with the school being an inclusive community where students are AMAZINGLY supportive of each other regardless of age or ability.
The school focuses on providing a diverse range of opportunities for students such as trips to the theatre, live performances, student leadership days, camps and athletics days.
Students are also able to explore these areas more through their access to Specialised Performing Arts, Visual Arts and the Library and are lucky to be able to learn Auslan as their LOTE.
The ‘senior’ students, from grade three to grade six, are able to attend a camp to Ballarat each year with student leadership opportunities for all students and a buddy system for ‘senior’ students to help prep students adjust to school life.
Tungamah Primary School has a really friendly atmosphere with staff greeting the children and families in the mornings and walking them out in the afternoons as well as providing a supportive transition from kinder to school program in term 4, and work with Yarrawonga schools for grade 6 to year 7 transition.
The feel of Tungamah Primary School is more casual but connected so check them out as your child’s education option today.
