A Grade
Berrigan 44 defeated Rennie 31
Rennie A Grade came up against an ‘in form’ Berrigan in the wet on Saturday.
They were difficult conditions to play in and the girls got off to a slow start, allowing Berrigan to jump to an early lead.
The inclusion of Brooke Knight into GA created better movement in attack and the girls were able to lessen the lead by the end of the game, going down by 13 goals in the end.

In wet, cold conditions the girls had a slow start to the game, down at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter saw the girls become a lot more settled and confident in the wet. The forward drives of Amy and Jazzy had the ball coming down the court much more smoothly.
The defence kept the pressure up into the third and fourth, picking off passes and creating turn-overs that the girls took advantage of, to increase the lead.
Tight defence from Berrigan had the shooters working hard to get in front and free, with Erin and Brooke holding strong and finishing off goaling accurately.

Berrigan 14 defeated by Rennie 29.
After beating top of the ladder Blighty last week, the girls had all the confidence in the world.
From the first whistle, each and every player gave 110% as asked by coach Brooke. Shooters moved particularly well, using ideas and set plays that have been a work in progress, but this week they ‘nailed it’.
Once again the midcourt players provided strong drives down court and their passes into the ring were excellent.
Defenders also provided plenty of turnovers, with great body-on-body defence. Although each quarter consisted of lots of changes, the girls adapted well and played as a team.
