Rennie’s third home game in a row and it certainly highlighted the fact that the club has so many dedicated and generous volunteers, fulfilling their commitments in the canteen and on the sidelines.

Rennie 55 defeated Picola United 45
Rennie had a fantastic win against second on the ladder Picola United. An excellent team effort with multiple contributors all game.
It was a very physical game but the girls showed great composure, particularly in the goal ring.
Once again the defensive end was impressive, giving lots of opportunities to score.
A small slump in the final quarter allowed the opposition to claw back the lead but it was a very convincing 10 goal win at the end.

Going into this game coach Kait was looking for more consistency throughout the game and the girls sure found it.
The tempo of the game lifted each quarter and the team set a focus for each quarter.
Great defensive pressure from Jill Haack, Kayla Oughton and Hannah Douglass combining well in the ring while “hands everywhere “ Jess Westwood picked off numerous intercepts in WD.
Mid court runners Nada Nolen and Catherine Shaw provided plenty of drive onto the ring and excellent passing into shooters Paula Mifka and Kristy McDougall who were on fire more so in the second half.
Keep improving girls.

Rennie 32 defeated by Picola United 42
It was a very warm day out against Picola. The girls just couldn’t get around Picola’s defensive pressure all the way down the court.
Was a tough day out but the girls left it all out on the court and that’s something to be proud of.
Bring on next week against the Tigers.

The girls worked tirelessly in defence. The “hands over” pressure was great all over the court.
The goalers were much improved, showing that what the Hoppers been practicing will pay off with some persistence.
Mid-court were impressive, feeding well to the goalers.
Let’s keep working hard and giving lots of encouragement.

The girls had three things to work on this week, driving forward, eyes on the ball and having fun.
And wow, did they succeed.
Chloe adapted to each positional change, Bonnie drove forward to the ball and Tess played well in all her positions.
Well done to the team for helping the Picola side who was short of players, showing great sportsmanship.
Miss K would be super proud of your listening skills this week.
