The Seymour Sports and Aquatic Centre's 25m pool will undergo essential upgrades from Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 4, coinciding with the school holidays.
The closure allows for the installation of state-of-the-art filtration systems in the 25m pool, enhancing water quality and swimmer comfort.
The new filtration system will dramatically enhance water quality, guaranteeing a safer, more hygienic swimming environment for the foreseeable future.
While the closure affects some facilities, gym access and group fitness classes will proceed without interruption.
While Aqua Aerobics will be temporarily suspended, Kilmore Leisure Centre will increase capacity for these classes and maintain normal operations throughout the closure period.
Swim lesson memberships at Seymour will be automatically put on hold for the duration of the closure.
Aquatic memberships will be suspended by default, but members have the option to continue using the Kilmore Leisure Centre during this period if they prefer.
Members wishing to reinstate access can do so by emailing the Leisure Team.
To ensure fairness, all aquatic term memberships will be automatically extended by five days to make up for the closure period.
Meanwhile, Lifestyle memberships will remain active, allowing continued access to gym facilities.
Members wishing to suspend their membership during the closure should contact the Leisure Team via email at leisure@mitchellshire.vic.gov.au
