“We now have three EV stations with two charging points on each, boasting six charging bays, and they are ready for use,” Mulwala Water Ski Club CEO Peter Duncan said.
“This will be welcome news to visitors who have enquired if we have EV charging stations.
“It also adds to the overall attraction of our towns by providing this service for the growing EV market,” Mr Duncan said.
Club Board Member Andrew Starr said the installation of the EV charging stations demonstrates the club’s ongoing commitment to modernising its facilities for members and guests.
“With these stations, we are also providing for the future needs of our members and guests. We will be looking at providing a members discount for charging,” Mr Starr said.
The club has partnered with Chargebay to install the state-of-the-art charging stations, which feature four fast charging points (charging at speeds of up to 80kW), two slow charging points (charging at speeds of up to 22kW), and two types of charging nozzles.
The charging stations will be powered by renewable energy, a new 300kW solar array, reflecting the club’s commitment to responsible energy use.
The slower AC chargers will charge at a rate of 35 cents per kWh. These chargers are perfect for those who prefer a more economical option and are planning to stay longer.
The faster DC chargers are available at 55 cents per kWh, offering a quick and efficient charging experience.
Each charger is equipped with a QR code for easy payment. Scan the code with your smartphone to process your payment seamlessly. For an even more convenient experience, payments can also be made through the Chargebay app, which is available for download on the App Store.
