Next week the club will unveil a world-class laser light show projected onto Lake Mulwala from the lagoon. The first show will be a perfect way to celebrate the recent completion of their extension of a fully accessible dining and viewing Malibu deck, and new all abilities play space.
The new facilities at the club have been assisted by a $737,070 grant from the NSW Regional Activation Tourism Fund for an overall re-development of the Mulwala Water Ski Club waterfront precinct.
Club President Matthew Holgate said, “We want to be a club for the whole community and the rejuvenated waterfront space and deck will welcome all visitors of all abilities, with something to offer for every interest.”
Club CEO Peter Duncan said the exciting laser light and sound show will be designed to showcase the beauty of Lake Mulwala and choreographed to music.
“The led lighting and lasers project a stunning extravaganza viewable from the deck and foreshore,” Mr Duncan said.
“It is a great attraction which will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 9pm and with perfect viewing from the new deck and furniture.”
The ski club’s children’s playground was also demolished and a new all abilities play space has been constructed including a wheelchair accessible carousel and a pendulum swing.
“We are so grateful of the state government grant, but also the effort of all our local tradesmen who have gone above and beyond to get the facilities finished before Christmas.
“Local businesses have been fantastic such as the team at Riches Home Improvements, Purtles Electrical, Woodlands Glass and Outdoor Indulgence just to name a few.
“We can’t wait to host our members and guests and share our improved venue and attractions,” Mr Duncan said.
