Teen injured by falling branch in Yarrawonga

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the boy had suffered lower body injuries and was taken to Northeast Health Wangaratta in a stable condition.

The incident comes less than a month after a man was killed from a falling tree at the nearby Loop Track in Yarrawonga after a heavy storm hit the region.

It is understood the family were attempting to leave the area during the storm when their car was hit by a large branch. Police labelled it a “freak accident”.
