Show secretary Maxine Weigand looks forward to an annual event that will delight all visitors.
“I’m looking forward to a great event for the Great Northern Show, which will be fun-filled with something for everyone, regardless of age,” Ms Weigand said.
“We have a total of 11 food vans, including coffee vans, for all the foodies.”
The show is a community event filled with family fun, entertainment and opportunities to showcase talents and skills.
“Friday night we have the screaming diamonds, who will once again be performing a series of death-defying aerial stunts,” Ms Weigand said.
“Last year we had 9000 people come through for a wonderful day and this year we would like to see more visitors. The more the merrier.”
The two-day event will feature kids’ activities, horses, cattle, poultry, goats and a working dog show.
There is also a licensed bar for adults and fireworks for the young and young at heart, a show and shine for the revheads, home crafts and trade stalls so everyone will find a fantastic bargain.
There will also be a variety of food, rides and showbags.
Admission is free.
The Great Northern Show is at the Rochester Recreation Reserve on Friday from 5pm to 9pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm.
