What started as a way to bring everyone together has grown into an annual tradition, now onto its fourth generation.
Driving up the Hume Highway from Melbourne each year has become a treasured feature in the family calendar.
Days are spent splashing in the pool, riding bikes, and hosting tennis tournaments. Afternoons often involve walks along Lake Mulwala, trips to the Bundalong Tavern, exploring nearby wineries and playing golf.
Evenings feature big pasta cook-ups and barbecues, with plenty of laughs and plans hatched for the next year.
"We just love it so much, and love the traditions our families have made together over the years," Sandra Signorelli said.
Each year includes a group lunch or dinner at a local winery or pub, such as this year’s 30th-anniversary celebration at the Victoria Hotel in Rutherglen.
"It's by far my favourite time of the year because I get to play with all my cousins, go swimming in the pool, and gorge on fantastic food and drinks," Elle Cardamone said.
Leigh Park’s six cabins make it an ideal base, providing enough space for 40-plus family members while keeping everyone connected— with older generations now passing the baton, the holiday has evolved without losing its heart; it’s a celebration of connection and joy.
