Handicap winners were Hugh Sutton and Keanu Sutton with 71, from Troy Grant and John Radeski 72.
On Saturday we had a stableford event, won in A-grade by Brian ‘Billy’ Bourke with 38 by a shot to John Radeski; B-grade winner was Keanu Sutton 40 by a shot to Jen Choice, and in C-grade Russell Begg had 40 to defeat runner-up Ben Littman 35.
Last Thursday the ladies played Canadian Foursomes which was won by Shandra Simpson and Jenny Swainger on 77.37, from Vicki Brunker and Prue Lloyd 77.62.
Wednesday’s men’s stableford A-grade winner was Josh Hunt with 39 points, by a shot to Ken Wemyss, and in B-grade Dan Wade had 37 for his consecutive Wednesday victory, defeating in-form Russell Begg on countback.
With spring arriving next week there will be plenty of action on the golf course and in the clubhouse.
It starts with the Keno 2-person ambrose qualifying events, to be played this weekend with men’s qualifier tomorrow and the mixed qualifier on Sunday.
The Scramble will be played the following Sunday, September 4, it is a four person ambrose with noon shotgun start.
Winners get the opportunity to progress through the rounds, potentially to the national final.

Entries are open for the 2022 Spring Classic, a fourball best ball stableford event on the weekend of September 17 and 18.
This will cap off a big weekend, with the Blind Footy Tipping dinner on Friday, September 16 from 6pm.
