Shepparton police Sergeant Darryl Phillips said a car was stolen from a Shepparton address on Saturday, February 25, during an alleged aggravated burglary.
It was spotted by Shepparton police on Sunday morning allegedly being driven in an erratic manner.
Police officers monitored the vehicle with support from air wing helicopters, but were forced to initiate contact and nudge the vehicle using a police car to force it off the road.
“Due to its dangerous driving and erratic nature police have initiated contact with it and a collision has occurred,” Sgt Phillips said.
“It couldn’t be allowed to continue due to the danger to the community.”
Two people briefly left the scene on foot before being arrested in a nearby business.
Sgt Phillips said anyone who was impacted by the driving was urged to contact Shepparton Police Station.
