Wednesday Social Bowls
16 players shaped up for the weekly game of social bowls held on Wednesday, June 19.
All games were played on the west green, which was running well.
Winners on the day was the teaming of Chris Horne (S), and Don Tipping (L) who won both their games with a shot total of plus 17 shots.
Also winning both their games, and as with the winners, having a shot total of plus 17 shots were Col Withers (S) and Noel Millar (L) who on a countback finished in 2nd place.
Third placing went to the combo of Barb Tennyson (S) and Les Wilson (L).
The lucky number winner was Doug McTier.

Friday Social Bowls
28 players fronted up for social bowls last Friday. All games were played on the west green which again was running freely.
The winners, from Yarrawonga Bowls Club, were the team of Shane Maddox and Ray Butler. Nice to see the visitors amongst the money.
Runners Up were Mal Beer and Mick Stevens from ClubMulwala, well done gents. The consolation prize went to Vicki and Col Withers, representing YMGCR.
Pennant availability lists
Lists for weekend and mid-week pennant availability are now up on the bowls noticeboard.
If you are intending to play pennant, could you place your names promptly on the lists. The selectors will then be able to determine the numbers of sides that are entered in each competition.
Pennant practice matches
Pennant practice matches have now been organised, so please enter these dates in your bowls diaries.
Saturday, September 14 vs Benalla at home. Saturday, September 21 vs Cobram at home.
Saturday, October 5 will be an intra club practice match.
Wednesday Social Bowls re - launch.
The Bowls Match Committees are giving Wednesday Social Bowls a revamp.
The new format will commence on Wednesday, July 10.
The format will now be Nominated Pairs, played over one game of 18 ends, single entries are still welcome.
The winners will be decided by a random draw of winning sides after the game. There will also be a Lucky Number raffle, $1.00 per number to enter.

Yarrawonga Bowls
Social club news –
Soup and games day - This Sunday, June 30 from 12.30pm to 4pm.
Come along and have some fun and socialize with family and friends.
$5 per person gives you soup, bread roll and games. The bar will be open and the footy will be on.
To make it even more fun if you dress in pyjamas, slippers, flannelette shirt, or moccasins (optional) you will go into a draw for a prize.
A sheet is out for names to go down to get an idea for catering etc.

The 2024/25 pennant season is slowly creeping up on us and will be here before you know it.
Even if you are unable to play each week, please put your name down as an emergency as they are always needed.

A sheet is up for those that wish to play this coming season.

The jackpot was claimed by Mick Crawford and Dave Charrington.
Wednesday, June 19 - Social Bowls - Winners – Noel Owen, Gwen Maddox and K. Smith. Runners Up – M. Hannaford, Kay Tait and Mary Essex.
The jackpot was not claimed and will be carried forward to next Wednesday.

All these games start at 12.30 pm and names need to be down by 11 am on the day.

2024/2025 membership:
Full Membership: $100 - Includes- FREE weekly coaching, club bowling shirt, and all club championship games FREE for the season, complimentary meal at the presentation dinner.
Social Membership: $30 - Includes complimentary meal at the presentation dinner.
Social Game Fees: $5 per game.
New members - your membership form must be received and approved by the Executive Committee before proceeding with payment.

Pennant 2024/2025 season:
A sheet has been posted on the board at the greens for interested members to place their names on for the 2024/2025 pennant season.
The selection committee ask members to place their names on the list asap so the number of teams to be entered for the upcoming pennant season can be finalised.
All ClubMulwala Bowls members are encouraged to play pennant this coming season.
Tuesday Social Bowls:
A beautiful crisp and sunny morning for social bowls on Tuesday.
Players were lucky to have ClubMulwala Bowls Coach Geoff Mitchell in attendance to offer advice during the game. The match committee decided to mix the teams up and encourage leads and 2nds to play as 3rd and Skipper.
An interesting day was enjoyed by all. Winning team on the day - Skip Greg Bennett, 3rd Robbo Lockwood, 2nd Loris Lockhead, Lead Malcom Miller.
Runners up- Skip Nicole McPherson, 3rd Wayne Dowsey, 2nd Ian Price, Lead Barry Pitt.
* Coffee and tea will be available in the Long Tan room prior to the start of play.
*Reminder- Please have your name down on the list at the greens for Tuesday Social Bowls no later than 9am, for a 9.45am roll up. All very welcome.
