Membership
2024/25. Full membership: $100 which includes a free pennant shirt, presentation dinner, and entry to all club championship tournaments.
Courtesy bus to all pennant away games provided by ClubMulwala.
Pennant 2024/2025 season-
A sheet has been posted on the board at the greens for interested members to place their names on for the 2024/2025 Pennant season.
The selection committee ask members to place their names on the list ASAP. All ClubMulwala Bowls members are encouraged to play pennant this coming season.
ClubMulwala warmly welcome any new residents to the region who are interested in playing Pennant this coming season.

Pennant training-
Practise/coaching will begin from Thursday, September 19 at 10am. This training will continue each Thursday.
All pennant players are urged to attend. This is a great opportunity to seek advice and refine your bowling skills.
The club is very lucky to have secured such an experienced coach and mentor for the bowling community.
Geoff, ClubMulwala’s Bowling Coach has also been offering coaching after Tuesday Social Bowls.
Tuesday Social Bowls:
A fine morning was enjoyed by 23 bowlers. Winners on the day- Lead- A Patterson, 2nd G. Bullen, 3rd- L. Evans, Skipper- W. Dowsey. All taking home a $15 ClubMulwala voucher.

The weeks are slowly closing in towards pennant starting. There is a sheet out for anyone that needs a club shirt.
Please place your order now so it will be all organized before pennant starts.
Social bowls results –
Monday, August 5 - 2-4-2 - there were 3 teams all with the same amount of games, ends and shots won, not something you often get.
It had to go down to percentage with the Winners being: Brian Batty and Jock McQualter.
Runners Up – Mick Dixon and Steve Day.
The Jackpot was not claimed and will be carried forward to next Monday.

YMGCR Bowls
Wednesday Social Bowls
Bowlers are relishing the new Wednesday Bowls format of one game of 22 ends of nominated three bowl triples, as witnessed by the strong turnout of 32 players last Wednesday, August 7 and surprise, surprise, they are also enjoying the increased prize money on offer.
Both greens were used for the day’s play and the weather was fine and sunny. The day’s winners were the team of Gavin Borwick and Bill Hidson.
The runners up were the side of Lynne Baxter and Liliana Borwick. The lucky losers were the combo of Don Tipping and Noel Millar.
The lucky number winners were Chris Price and Julian Jones. As mentioned before, single entries are still welcome as are visitors from surrounding clubs and further afield, it’s as easy as placing your names on the entry sheets at the bowls office.
Visitors and single entries and visitors remember to place a contact telephone number along with your name.
Friday Social Bowls
Fine weather, with a hint of spring in the air last Friday greeted the 36 bowlers who turned out for the Friday Social Format of one game of 18 ends of 2 x 4 x 2 nominated pairs.
Players from Tungamah, Yarrawonga and Club Mulwala Bowls clubs participating, and YMGCR Bowls extend their thanks to those visiting bowlers for supporting the Friday Social Bowls Day.
The winners were Nicole and Wade McPherson from ClubMulwala.
Making it a clean sweep for ClubMulwala in the winner’s prizes were Mal Beer and Jeff Mitchell who won the Runners up prize.
The losing side consolation prize went to the team of Phil Pettit and Tom Wilson from Tungamah Bowls Club. The lucky number winners were Mick Reilly and Ian Morffew.
YMGCR club competitions
Entry sheets are now on the bowls office noticeboards for ladies and men’s club competitions.
So, if you are intending to enter club competitions this year, please place your names on the lists promptly which will enable the match committees to get the draws out sooner rather than later.
Blokes day on Oaks Day
YMGCR are again holding the popular Blokes Day on Oaks Day, which this year, will be held on Thursday, November 7.
This is a great day, in aid of a very worthwhile charity, research into Prostate Cancer.
So, to make sure of your side’s place in the field place your names on the entry sheets, which are now up on the Bowls Office notice boards.
