24 players participated in Wednesday Social Bowls last week. Games were played on the east green, and despite a chilly morning the weather fined up considerably for the afternoon’s bowls.
The green wasn’t all that quick but ran evenly on either side.
The winners were the team of Vicki Withers and Chris Horne. The losing rink prize went to the combo of Neville Coleman and Robyn Forge.
The Lucky Number winners were Barb Tennyson, who took home $20.00 and Les Wilson who pocketed $10.00
Friday social bowls
Inclement weather last Friday, August 16 saw Friday Social Bowls cancelled.
As there are no results to report, this is an opportunity to thank the ladies that have made Friday Social the success that it has been over recent seasons.
Thanks go to Maire Morffew, Vicki Withers, Lynne Baxter, Jill Lamson and Carolyn Boston.
It has been terrific to see the support that Friday social receives from players from surrounding clubs.
The club regularly have players from the following clubs participating, Yarrawonga, Tungamah and ClubMulwala.

If you are intending entering any, or all of these competitions, please place your names on the entry sheets promptly so that the Match Committees can get the draws finalised as soon as is practicable.
Joy Johnson Tournament
The annual Joy Johnson Tournament will be held on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1.
This is a terrific tournament showcasing some of the best ladies bowling talent in Australia. Why not come along and watch the action, while enjoying a meal from the Sandwedge and a drink from the bar.
AM Sportswear will be attendance, in the Willow Room over the tournament giving you the opportunity to pick up your bowls gear before the upcoming season.

There is a Sponsors Dinner being held this Sunday, August 25 at 6pm at Mulwala Waterski Club, Golden Inn Chinese restaurant.

Pennant –
The 2024/2025 pennant season is almost upon us.
The club is counting down the weeks now so make sure you have your Pennant attire organized.
If not place your order on the sheet on the board in the clubhouse.
This season the club have an extra team in both the weekend and midweek pennant.
The divisions being: Weekend A1, A4, B2 and B3 and Midweek entering an A1, B1 and B2.
The club have numerous new members this season and members welcome them all to the club.

Runners Up – Greg Fisher and Les Wilson. The jackpot was claimed by June Binental and Tom Dodds.
Wednesday, August 14 - Social Bowls - Winners – Keith Allender and Mary Essex.
Runners Up – Noel Owen and June Binental. The first resting toucher winner this week was Chris O’Meara.

All these games start at 12.30pm and names need to be down by 11am on the day.
