Social bowls on Wednesday was held in dull and windy conditions, there was a good turnout of 20 players participating. Winners – Pairs – Brian McCarthy and Denise Mihan. Triples – Paul Hickey, Sue Dawson and Brian Shipcott – overall runners up – Col Hendren and Alex Martin.
Saturday was also rather dull and windy with the sun appearing every now and again. There was a good turnout of 26 players. – Winners – Ian Bilney, Clint Snow and Steve Rodway.– Runners up – Paul Hickey, Shane Rosenow and Marg Watson. – 3rd – Ian Lewis,

Next Saturday 7th September 2024 there will be a Pennant Practice Match at Corowa Civic against Club Mulwala, please be at the club by 12.30pm.

The Men’s and Ladies Club Pairs will be held on Sunday, September 22 commencing at 9.30am please add your team to the sheets on the notice board in the foyer of the club house.
If you would like to take your bowls to a new level, come along on a Tuesday afternoon about 3pm where there will be drills set out to help us with our bowling.
On Thursday afternoon at 4pm there will be bowls practice for all pennant players.
Our Greenkeepers Andy and Michael have been doing a great job on the greens over winter, which are now running very fast, thank you.

Social Bowls Wednesday, August 28 commenced with "Brunch before Bowls"
With windy overcast weather, twenty-two players took to the greens.
Winners, Raz Porter, Rosemary Baddeley, Kevin Bowler and Susie Swift +12
Runners Up were, Brian Houlihan, Rod Garthwaite and Ketch +8
Open Jackpot Pairs Saturday, and the last of the Jackpot Pairs format.
Bowls commenced at 9.30am to enable members to attend Les Pilfoot "Memorial Wake" at the Howlong Golf Club.
Cool strong winds played havoc with the bowls and the Jackpot was drawn till we had winners.
Twenty-nine players contested the prize, the $330 Jackpot was shared with four players, each winning $82 each.
Thank you to the members who supported this format and, of course, our volunteers.
Saturday, September 7, members will celebrate with the family of Sam Nixon at the Bowls Club.

Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls
On Sunday we held a small tournament for some local clubs.
Tuesday’s social winners on 16 and 15 (31) were Chris Hendry, Helen Bartel, and Jan Webber. The runners-up on 18 and 5 (23) were Wendy Dunbar, Ellen Buckley, and Peter Manning.
Thursday's winners on 14 and 14 (28) were Chris Hendry, Peter Manning, and Glenda Willett. The runners-up on 18 and 6 (24) were Kerry Whalley, Anne Smith, and Angela Clapton.
