Of the 13 players who have played seniors this season but missed the clash against Echuca in the previous round, the Bombers could welcome back co-coach Kaine Herbert, Eamann Ogden, Riley Ironside, Charie Barnett and Brad Magan for the vital showdown.
Ironside and Barnett have had long-term injuries.
Star defender Brad Whitford, who suffered concussion in the Echuca game, is also be a chance to play.
The Bombers are also hoping Queensland recruit Bailey Tome, who starred in only his third game with the club against Benalla two games ago, might also be available for the clash. He is playing with VFL club Box Hill.
Kaine Herbert believes the inclusions will give the Bombers, who put up a spirited showing against hot premiership favourite Echuca, can take it up to Rochester.
‘‘If we can bring the type of game we did against Echuca and with some extra players we can do well,’’ was Herbert’s prediction.
The Bombers slipped out of the top six in the first half of the split round last weekend but get a chance to regain their spot if they can get over the Tigers on Sunday for the second time this season.
Kyabram finished over Rochester in a second round match of the season, but since then the Tigers have lost only one game – to second-placed Shepparton – and are the only side to have lowered the colours of premiership favourite and reigning premier Echuca.
The Bombers will need to be at their best to be a winning chance, but if they continue to deliver what they delivered all season in terms of endeavour and a never-give-up attitude they can make a cheeky bid.
