The old scoreboard, worn out from years of use, posed challenges for players and volunteers, and was often manned by younger players and exposed to the elements.
The new electronic system has streamlined operations, allowing timekeepers to manage scores from a sheltered area, freeing up volunteers for other tasks and ensuring children can enjoy the event hassle-free.
Club Corowa CEO Peter Norris said the club was proud to support the Rutherglen Cats.
“Investing in community sports infrastructure like this electronic scoreboard is crucial for enhancing game day experiences,” Mr Norris said.
“These ClubGRANTS are just one of the many ways Club Corowa is able to provide support, services, and facilities for the betterment of our local community.”
ClubGRANTS is one of Australia’s largest grant programs, providing more than $100 million in cash each year to a variety of worthy causes across NSW.
Charities, sporting organisations and not-for-profit community groups are among tens-of-thousands of worthy causes funded through the program each year.
With more than $1 billion in funding provided since the program’s inception, ClubGRANTS is without doubt one of the largest and most effective grants programs in Australia. The program is made possible through the support of NSW clubs, local councils and the NSW Government.
The Rutherglen Cats have upgraded their scoreboard to a high-tech LED. This upgrade means smoother games and easier scorekeeping.
