Gus McMillan and Ashley Nicholls won their doubles match to stitch up Darren Thompson and Nev Page 3/2, whilst Darren Edwards and Darryl McKernan got over Jake Thompson and Deb Harbrow to make their way to the final.
Darren Edwards will have to break in a substitute partner due to Daryl being unavailable for a few weeks on yet another holiday, but a close final match is tipped.
Good luck to all participants in one of the higher profile events.
Weekly events have been shared around lately with Darren Thompson winning the Diggers Tribute on Monday, May 13 via a victory over Darren Edwards.
Daryl McKernan defeated Baz Jackson on Wednesday, May 15 in the final of a round robin event. Nev Page fell in against Deb Harbrow on Monday, May 20 and Jake Thompson rolled Michael Barclay in social play on Wednesday, May 22.

How long have you been playing snooker and where have you played?
Since 1990. I have played in places such as Albury Commercial Club. Parramatta RSL in Sydney also Cobram RSL
What is your best break and competition result to date?
My Highest break was 25 in 2018 as a B Grade player. My best competition result would be the year I won “Cock Of The Walk” three times during the year. This now attains a $50 voucher for first prize.
What do you enjoy most about playing at Club Mulwala Snooker Club and what do you think are the best things about it?
The most I have enjoyed would be meeting such unique characters over the past years. The best thing about the club is that we all have such a great time and we look forward to catching up each week. Club Mulwala proudly support the snooker club with voucher prizes which members and visitors appreciate and enjoy.
Best tip you have ever received and how it has helped your game?
The best tip I received would be to put my cue along with my rest down on the table, not up in the air (towards the roof).
This advice was very handy as I am a bit shorter in stature and have to use a rest often. It changed my game immensely.
Advice to any prospective new players.
If you like a night out, meet our members and visitors who are the greatest bunch of people I know.
Come along to our glorious snooker room for a chit chat or a laugh, have a game or two and you might even get a chance to have a crack at the black ball. The lucky last person drawn out on the evenings draw will try to pot the black ball from its spot for the door prize.
