For footballers aged five to 12, the program includes game opportunities during the 10-week program.
For preschool and Kindergarten aged children there will be development drills with experienced leaders, and the AFL endorsed program has supported, modified gameplay.
Those in Year 1 and above will be in fixed teams with dedicated coaches, and they will enjoy targeted skill development in a format that matches junior leagues.
Similar to previous seasons, Deni Auskick runs a unique format unlike other Auskick programs.
It offers team-based game play for children from Year 1 and above.
This means they get all the benefits of a team, with a dedicated coach who stays the same for the entirety of the program.
After a few warm up drills, the gameplay starts on a modified field and the coaches are the umpires who offer real-time, in-play support to the whole team.
There are three teams for the older age groups, to be coached by Craig Woolston, Darcy Pogue and Jake Parsons respectively.
Deni Auskick is still looking for a junior coordinator for the younger age group.
After the club’s AGM in March, Deni Auskick heads into the 2025 season with Nick Gatacre as president, Emma Fisher as secretary and Sophie Pisasale as treasurer.
The general committee includes Darcy Pogue, Steff Robinson and Craig Woolston.
The committee would like to thank Eliza Eastman for her five years as the secretary of the Deni Auskick committee.
Arthur said the group’s organisers are looking forward to another successful Auskick season.
“The format will be much the same as last year.”
“It will be a game style program for the older kids and skill development drill for the younger kids.
“There will be additional opportunities locally and potentially broader opportunities available as part of the Auskick system.
“Numbers are already looking to exceed last year. We encourage people to register as soon as possible, as it helps us to know what teams will look like.
“With such a big range of talent and ages, we try hard to make it as even as possible.”
Arthur said the club also welcomes interest from anyone keen to help with the program and be involved with helping the Auskick stars.
