Entries are open for the 2024 Winter Classic, which is only just around the corner.

The fourball best ball event is on Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9, so there is less than a week to get a partner organised and your entry submitted.
As usual with our classic weekends there will be 18 hole events on Saturday and Sunday, as well as trophies in scratch and handicap over the 36 holes.
The club thanks sponsors for supporting the classic, these being MRT Spraying, Riverina Watermatic and Deniliquin Vinyl and Carpet Centre.
Entry forms are available from the pro shop or online.
The classic will be the culmination of a big week on course, starting tomorrow with stroke and men’s monthly medal, then continuing on Sunday with the popular Fight MND charity day.
There’s a big field for the charity day, so a great fundraising effort is assured.
Also next week we have a 9 hole stroke event on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday and ladies medal on Thursday.
Over the past week, last Thursday was fourball best ball, won by Yvonne Holmes and Carol Hardman with 45 points on countback to Jane Glowrey and Jen Choice.
Saturday was stableford aggregate, won by Jen Swainger and Wendy Pekin on 71 points, from runners-up Wayne Pitts and Andrew Brunker 70 and third placegetters Alan Jenkin and Peter Joice 68.
On Wednesday there was a good size field with three grades.
A-grade winner was Darren Mitchell on 38 points from runner-up Peter Oddy 36; B-grade Graeme Rothwell 37 from runner-up Gary Stephens 36; and C-grade Leanne Mulham 35 from runner-up Dick Bolton 34.
Last Sunday our mixed singles pennant teams travelled to Kerang for the last round before finals.
Division 1 had a 4-1 win over Kerang but missed the finals, while Division 2 had a 3-2 victory over Kerang but also narrowly missed a final spot.
Division 3 had already secured their final spot and will play Kerang for the pennant at Cohuna this Sunday.
While on the Division 3 finals appearance, it’s uncertain whether Norm Purtill will be sufficiently recovered to take his place on Sunday.
Norm filled in last Sunday and generously agreed to share a cart, which led to a change of positions and he was pitted against Mabel, a young 11 year-old up and coming player.
Norm quickly discovered Mabel is a promising golfer, as she raced to an impressive lead and took the match on the 12th hole, at which point she led 7/5.
Norm is still recovering.
All the best to the Division 3 team in the final.
Finally, an appeal for members to support the Friday night activities at the club.
Numbers have been inconsistent, and while the Board is keen to ensure our Friday Night Fun continues, it could be in jeopardy without more member involvement.
The fun continues this evening, with raffle tickets on sale from 6pm and draws at 7pm. Quality meals at reasonable prices are available.
