Both clubs have kept the appointments within club ranks.
John Wilson has got the job at Girgarre, where he has spent the past three years.
He originally joined the club in 2022 with new coach Damian Cupido in an off-field role but remained with the club when Cupido departed after kicking 100 goals for the season and getting the Roos into the first week of the finals for the first time in 23 years.
He has a lot of coaching experience and is a known as a good communicator.
Club stalwart Brendan Baumann stepped up to the senior coaching position at Girgarre after Cupido’s departure and has been a popular leader at the club for the past two years.
Stanhope has appointed joint co-coaches in club stalwarts Alex Young and Tom Hepburn to lead it in 2025.
They have replaced Adam Lovison, who took over as coach this year.
Both Young and Hepburn will be non-playing coaches and both have had long associations with the club.
Young is a former GVL Pattison (thirds) medallist with Kyabram and along with Hepburn has been a playing stalwart in the senior team over many seasons.
Injury cut Hepburn’s career short two years ago and Young, who played only a handful of games this year, is not expected to play.
Stanhope has also reappointed Shane Baker as reserves coach. He will share the position with his brother Layne.
Baker coached Stanhope into the KDL reserves grand final this year.
Brent Sutton will be the thirds coach again, with senior player Jonathon Pearson his assistant.
