Fun is the main aim of this sailing game! Yarrawonga Yacht Club (YYC) is offering sailing instruction to juniors aged 8+ and encourage families to get involved with an emphasis on making learning to sail, lots of fun!
Children learn a new skill in an enjoyable, relaxed setting using dinghies that are designed for junior learning.
“It’s great to see kids learning a new skill that they can carry forward into later life,” YYC sailing instructor Ken Cameron said.
“Participants must be able to swim but no prior experience in boats is necessary.”
The club also offers ‘Learn to Sail’ courses for adults, running on the same dates as the juniors.
Places are limited so prior booking is essential.
The club has dinghies that are designed for younger sailors, a type that is used internationally for training juniors.
This six week, Learn to Sail Course commences on Saturday, October 19 and runs for 90 minutes.
Course Cost: $70pp.
