On Saturday, August 4, the Bendigo Strikers held their presentation evening following the club’s inaugural season and local representatives made their mark among the award getters.

Rochester Football Netball Club player Teal Hocking was best-and-fairest runner-up for the Strikers Championship team, her 56 points trailing only winner Charlotte Sexton from Sandhurst FNC.
Tongala FNC’s Milly Brock finished in a three-way tie for third on 46 votes.
Strikers under-23 captain and Tongala coach Grace Hammond earned the Strikers Spirit award along with Heather Oliver.
The award is bestowed for upholding the Strikers’ values on and off the court and for engagement with the community.
The Bendigo Strikers experienced a mixed introduction to the Victorian Netball League in 2024.
The championship team had an up-and-down season but finished with a respectable 9-11 record from its 20 games, good for sixth place in the 11-team competition.
The under-23s side had a tougher time in its first campaign, ending the year at 4-18.
