Mulwala netball

The Lions fought hard but couldn’t come away with the win. Steph shot well and helped out with some strong drives down the court. Tayce and Lara had a tough job against a tall shooter but persisted through all 4 quarters.

B Grade

Mulwala 31 defeated by Tongala 50.

The girls are currently sitting 4th on the ladder and were taking on 2nd position Tongala. The girls were pumped and focused from the first whistle and had some great plays in the first quarter, but Tongala were too strong taking out the first quarter.

The second quarter saw great defense from Alex through the middle getting numerous turnovers along with Charli and Freya working overtime.

It was an even second quarter. Tongala were too good in the second half but the girls continued to fight hard and didn’t give up.

C Grade

Mulwala 28 defeated by Tongala 58.

Good effort this week girls, Tongala are a really strong team but the Lions did an amazing job. Well done.

C Res

Mulwala 44 defeated Tongala 22.

What a game to watch! The C Res all played from the very first center pass. The Lions’ girls had their head in the game and played one hell of a game, coming away with their second win for the year. Everyone played amazing - so proud of everyone.

Under 17s

Mulwala 20 defeated by Tongala 55.

The Under 17’s had a hard game against the top side Tongala. They started strong, applying pressure to force errors in the mid court.

The team made some excellent turnovers with strong defence from trio Mikayla, Keely and Milla.

There was some great movement down the court through Maya, Hannah, Mikayla and Jess. Paige and Polly fought hard in goals all game giving 100%, but unfortunately went down.

Under 15s

No Game.

Under 13s

Mulwala 38 defeated Tongala 8.

It was a strong team effort this week, with all girls stepping up and playing well. There was lots of talk all the way down the court to record a solid win.

Under 11s

The girls had a great game this week. They each had an opportunity to play in a variety of positions and were able to try out new team plays.

Lots of success in both the defense and attack. Terrific girls!
