Murray League 2023 fixture released

Mulwala will kick off season 2023 as reigning premiers against runners-up Cobram on April 1.

The 2023 Eagle I T-L Irrigation Murray Football Netball League fixture has been released with round 1 scheduled for April 1.

The opening round will feature last year’s Grand Finalists Cobram and Mulwala going head to head at Cobram while on the netball court Deniliquin Rams will unfurl their premiership flag against 2022 runner up and rival Rumbalara.

Traditional Easter opponents will go head to head in round 2 with all matches to be played on Good Friday. Mulwala will again be at home to Congupna.

A general bye has been scheduled on July 1 whilst the draw has two split rounds in Round 7 and Round 16.

The focus of the fixture is to maximise crowds and to take advantage of an influx of tourists along the river over Easter and the King’s Birthday weekend.

The season concludes with the Grand Final on September 16.
