After a convincing 71-31 win against Moama last weekend in front of a bumper crowd at Hardinge Street Oval, the Deni senior side will hope to continue their run of form.
The Rams will be travelling to Cobram after back-to-back home game wins thrust them to fifth place on the league ladder.
Cobram is sitting in seventh and will be hoping to improve on that over the last four rounds to play finals.
The two sides have previously met at Hardinge Street Oval in round six.
The Rams were able to score the win in a close affair, recording a 14 point victory - Deni 7.13 (55) def Cobram 6.5 (41).
Coach Gary Parsons expects the Tigers to put up a fight.
“It’s a tough ask. They have been playing pretty well all year,” Parsons said.
“They’re a hard side to beat at home, too.”
“But our boys have been playing well too, and at the right time of the year.
“I thought we would play our best footy toward the end of the year.”
The Rams certainly have found their form and Parsons believes a key to their success will be not letting Cobram play their game.
“They like to keep the footy off you; they are a slick and skilful side.”
The Rams will be hoping to impose their own style on the game, which they have demonstrated well in the past few weeks.
The local side have also found some real joy in blooding some senior debutants throughout the year.
Considering the young crop of hungry players and their current form, the Rams look like a side to watch come finals time.
The seniors match will be played at Cobram’s Scott Oval from 2pm Saturday.
