Mikayla McAuliffe played a dominant game in defence, alongside Abbey Coghill, providing the attack end with plenty of opportunities.
Ella Rhodes and Eliza York worried hard against some very strong defenders. Sophia Shaw entered the game at half time and provided some much-needed drive.
The fast-paced game got away from the Hoppers in the end with Kattys experience and longevity blowing out the score at full time.
The Hoppers walk away with plenty of takes outs to work on in the coming weeks and to continue to grow and develop.

B Grade
Rennie 24 defeated by Katamatite 42
The B Grade Hoppers started slow and steady in the game which came with a lot of challenges. Kayla Oughton, Maddy Phibbs and Celine Collins Bye in the defence line created numerous opportunities for attack to take hold of the game, but unfortunately unforced errors didn’t allow this.
Danielle Walker and Jess Panter worked hard in goals and continue to learn to open up the space.
Half time saw Georgia Hope change to the attack end and provide strong drives and some much need accuracy of passes into the ring.
Plenty of positive take outs from the game to work on for the new side.
Awards: Miss Dolly - Jess Panter, Yarra Hotel - Kayla Oughton, Bundalong Tavern - Georgia Hope and Publican's Daughter - Danielle Walker.
C Grade
Rennie 38 defeated Katamatite 34.
What a fantastic game to watch and both teams should be proud with fierce defensive pressure all over the court.
With a new goaling combination the girls were always going to need some time to adjust but once they did the pedal was put to the floor and Laura and Shanae made great head way, gaining some great passages of play.
Well supported by Haylee in WA who worked tirelessly all game and had numerous turnovers contributing to a small lead at half time.
The 18th birthday girl Steph created havoc for her opponent keeping her to minimal touches at 3/4 time. Nada showed the ‘youngens’ how to do it by dominating the court with smart play all down the court.
The defence in Emmi and Rach were faultless in their efforts digging in deep against quality goalers. Their constant pressure and communication down there was lovely to watch.
Well done everyone! Shout out to Jae for sitting on the bench and the C Grade send their love to Soph in hopes her injury isn't too severe.
Awards: ClubMulwala - Hayley Wilson, One Zach - Steph Munro, Wingate's Sports - Rach Guppy and Mulwala Bakery - Emmersyn Brookes.
C Reserve
Rennie 16 defeated by Katamatite 34
The girls all worked well as a team and applied what they have been working on at training to the court.
Jae, Cody, Mel and Jazzy all worked extremely hard in defence on some tall and quick players, Liz Lacey and Amy were strong through the mid court and Leonie and Sheryl worked very hard in goals.
Unfortunately, Katamatite were too strong for the Hoppers this time and not the result Rennie hoped for with a final score of 16-34.
The Hoppers will come back stronger in round 11 when they face them again. An amazing effort by all!
Awards: Free as a Bird - Cody Pfeiffer, Yarra Hotel - Melinda Burke, Belle's Cafe - Amy Smith and South of the Border - Sheryl McBurnie.
Under 17s
Rennie 74 defeated Katamatite 2.
What a win the girls had this week. It is not very often that you can say you won a game of netball by 70 plus goals, yet this week, the Rennie U17s can proudly say so.
With a slower start for the Rennie girls, the second half showed strength and teamwork across the court.
With Jemma Adkins showing her defensive pressure and being backed up by Abbey Coghill and Mia Doherty, the passes down the court seemed effortless.
Georgia Phillips showed that her long arms aren’t just for show and were able to pick off numerous balls across the court and passed down to quick driving Grace Stephens.
Goalers worked hard and with multiple combinations consisting of Ella Rhodes, Sophia Shaw, Sophie O’Dwyer and Scarlett York, the Hoppers were able to bring that win home with ease.
Well done girls, and keep pushing to see where you can go next.
Awards: Rhodes Family - Jemma Adkins, Redback Waste - Georgia Phillips, Priority Fitness - Abbey Coghill and Mulwala Bakery - Mia Doherty.
Under 15s
Rennie 47 defeated Katamatite 6.
This week the Rennie girls worked hard on their shooting set ups and it paid off on game day as the girls executed these set ups perfectly.
Every girl held their heads high this week and worked well together. The defenders picked up multiple loose balls and had multiple turnovers, each paired with the shooters who didn't seem to miss the Hopper girls who came out on top with a fantastic win.
The Under 15s have a lot to work on and improve and the coaches are very much looking forward to seeing these girls develop and grow as a team.
Well done on your amazing win girls.

Under 13s
Rennie 24 defeated Katamatite 3
Another amazing game this week, taking what they learnt at training to the game.
The girls in defence constantly put pressure on the other team resulting in multiple turn overs, allowing the mid court to work it smoothly down to the ring where the Hopper shooters scored a well-deserved win.
The girls should be super proud of themselves and the work they put in each week.
Under 11s
What a brilliant game by all girls this week. It's clear to see that their hard work at training is paying off.
Super impressed with everyone's foot work and passes down the court. Macy who filled in was a star in the goals but was backed up by strong defensive work by Ava, Maisey and Hayley.
Ella stepped into many rolls and showed great strength and improvement. All girls and coach Shez should be proud.
Awards: Jarobee Farms - Macy Robinson, Rhodes Family - Hayley Robinson, Yarra Fish N Chips - Ava Stiles and Rennie Catering Committee - Ella Wilson.
