The Hoppers were off on a Bear hunt and they didn't disappoint with a stella game.
Rennie started with a bang and a six-goal lead going into the second quarter.
Heleena Shaw dominated the court keeping her opposition quiet and mopping up many loose balls whilst also intercepting and reading the play beautifully.
As the Bears do, they clawed back the gap bringing it to a draw at one stage but Rennie was able to hold them off by sticking to basics and the game plan, predominately holding a 4 goal lead majority of the game.
Brylee McCarthy had many turnovers but her attack down the court to assist her teammates was second to none, Brylee's pace and experience with the ball was thrilling to watch.
Brooke McDougall and Paula Mifka's experience in a game that can be more a mental battle was important and invaluable.
With many position changes sometimes this can be unsettling for a team but the girls didn't drop their heads and when they lost focus were able to put in the hard work and regain it.
The team backed one another up and kept a positive direction all over the court well done girls on a massive win against rivals Tungamah.

It was a tough game this week as the Rennie Hoppers stepped up against the Tungamah Bears at their home ground.
With a final score of 33 to 26 the Bears took home the win. The Hoppers had trouble finding their feet in the first half but worked hard all game to keep the end margin small. A huge thank you to Alani Peterson and Lucy Bassett for filling in again, with Alani taking home the top award for her impressive movement and accuracy in the goal ring.
Other awards went to Sarah Dowling, Rach Guppy and Georgie Thomas who all worked tirelessly in the defensive end and also Haylee Wilson who provided great communication and movement both within and around the goal ring.

The C Ressie legends were going on a Bear hunt in hopes of catching a big one.
It was tit for tat all game, with the C Ressie legends determined to keep the crowd on the edge of their seats.
‘Edos Speedos’ and Lauren had a field day in the mid-court, spinning the Bears completely around. The pair worked beautifully together, setting the tone across the entire court.
Jae 'Fruit Picker' Lonergan has been in her element the past couple of weeks, and she was right back at it again. At any given opportunity, she picked off the ever-forbidden rebound.
Britta trekked down into the defensive end to lend a hand picking fruit. Allowing herself to enjoy the odd, forbidden rebound, too.
‘Trucker Long’ and Alysse both excelled defensively, creating chaos for the Bear's attack. The chaos the pair caused was like a school pickup on the first day back of term.
Shez 'Ricky D's' McBurnie proved to be incredibly versatile, having a crack in almost every area of the court, driving the Bears crazy wherever she went.
The sewing club reconvened again, with Illa and Tegan creating some beautiful needlework in the ring.
The pair's beautiful craftsmanship left the Bear's defensive end in absolute awe of what they could do.
It was goal-for-goal all game with the C Ressie legends, putting up one hell of a fight. Unfortunately, the Bears clawed away from the hunt, securing the ever-desirable 'W'.
The C Res look forward to taking on Tocumwal at their home ground next week, where they hope another 'W' is waiting for them.

Driving to Tungamah with fog so dense you could have sworn it was the cloud of Hoppers eager to get into the grizzly bear pit some may say it was, some may think it was fog! But for the Under 17s, they were sure of it!
With having played Tungamah the first game and having a 14 goal win, and with both teams improving throughout the season with Tunga moving into second position on the ladder the Hoppers weren’t sure what they were up against.
But the almighty Rennie U17s came out, and they were there to win!
With no mucking around the girls took the lead early, multiple turnovers from all over the court with every single player in the team doing their part as individuals and as a team.
The reactions for turnovers was like they had just skimmed over a bear trap and were eager to continue to keep on going.
The defensive pressure, the goals, the teamwork, the encouragement, the voices, the centre passes and most of all the positivity!
It was all there and as coaches they couldn’t have asked for anything more from the girls and the scribe thinks as players and teammates they walked away with a head held high and knowing the worked hard to deserve the 16 goal win!

Rennie 19 drew with Tungamah 19
This week’s game was the intense rivalry between Tungamah and Rennie. With the ladder positions being close everyone was excepting a good game.
The weather conditions weren’t great with it being slippery and very foggy, however after the first quarter both teams learnt to adjust.
Shooters Charlotte and Sienna worked hard throughout the whole game even though they had some amazing defenders on them.
They worked hard for every rebound and never gave up.
Midcourters; Michelle, Ruby, Layla, Jasi and Jemima had a great game with being put in a variety of positions. They worked incredibly together and put in 100% throughout the The defenders Kate, Samantha and Tess had their work cut out for them with having some really accurate shooters to defend.
However, they did a great job and ended getting up lots of turnovers and creating great defensive pressure.
The game was neck and neck throughout all 4 quarters with both teams fighting incredibly hard.
The last quarter was goal for goal and in the end the siren went and it was a tie.
It was a great effort by both teams, hopefully they meet again in finals!

It was a cold foggy start out at the Bears home ground for the junior Hoppers after the week off.
It took the girls a while to warm up and adjust to the conditions but they never let that keep them giving it their all.
Even though the Hoppers didn’t come away with the win there were many positives from the game and still things to work on to improve over the coming weeks.
The Hoppers fight until the end saw them claw back the margin in the last quarter to only 4.
The girls should be proud of their efforts and their never give up attitude.

It was a cold start for all the girls out on the netball court. Once they’d warmed up they began putting in their best effort and working together as a team.
The Hopper girls showed great sportsmanship against cross-town rivals, Tungamah, and gave 100% which showed the hard work at training paid off.
