Seymour Gift returns after 20 years with new sponsor

Thanks to the hard work of the Seymour Running Club, the Seymour Gift is back after a two-decade hiatus with a headline sponsor in the form of the Seymour Club.

The gift is set to be held at Kings Park on December 14 and is one of the 21 stops on the Victorian Athletic League’s tour.

It is expected hundreds of athletes, coaches and supporters will descend on Seymour for the event.

SRC president Blair Collins thanked the Seymour Club for supporting the Seymour Gift and helping to make the committee’s dream a reality.

“They have thrown their full support behind the gift and have allowed us to focus our energy on running a high-class event that, we hope, is here for many years to come,” Collins said.

Seymour Club president Regina Schaefer said the board was happy to get behind the Seymour Gift.

“The Seymour Running Club came to us with a clear proposal and vision for the Seymour Gift as an annual event, which our board was delighted to support,” Schaefer said.
